In the fall of 2009, I met a professional singer and dancer who asked me to compose a piece of original music to be performed (possibly) by a famous Argentine singer. It was my first experience writing in both the Tango Nuevo style and writing in a quasi jazz lead-sheet format. I was pleased with the result, only to learn later that the piece was actually intended for dancing, for which this waltz is unfortunately too slow. Nevertheless, I convinced two friends to meet me for an early-morning jam session and we recorded this little trio version in two takes.
