I composed Through The Leaves with purely musical elements in mind, but after it was finished it became clear that the month of May and the brilliant spring colors of Eugene, Oregon had proven influential. This piece was a true joy to conceive, compose, and perform. It was later featured in a master class with L. A. Philharmonic resident composer Steven Stucky in February, 2010, and inspired Tiziana to create a exquisite new painting of the same name.
